Editorial policy
Coastal Arts Review aims to be accurate, independent and clear about the basis of its writing. We distinguish information from opinion and correct material when an error is brought to our attention and verified.
Accuracy and context
We check names, dates, titles and other factual details against suitable sources before publication. When information is uncertain or interpretations differ, we say so rather than present one account as settled. We do not claim firsthand experience where none is involved.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to readers and fit with the publication's subject. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, favourable treatment or editorial control by a partner.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review the details and, when a correction is warranted, amend the relevant text and make the change clear where appropriate.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements and other partner material are clearly labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where that applies, the illustration is identified as AI-generated.
